Where our facts come from
Every source in the registry is assigned a level. The lower the number, the higher the trust:
| Level | Source type | In the registry |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Russian regulatory document | 10 |
| 2 | Russian research institute or government agency | 1 |
| 3 | International health organization | 27 |
| 4 | Scientific classification | 3 |
| 5 | Peer-reviewed study | 13 |
| 6 | Professional medical or veterinary reference | 7 |
We take treatment information and the warning signs that mean you should call your local emergency number (911 in the US, 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU) only from Russian Ministry of Health clinical guidelines. International sources add to them but do not replace them.
How we check
- Every statement containing a fact or a number has a footnote. The site technically will not build if a footnote has no entry in the source registry.
- Texts are prepared with the help of artificial intelligence. Before publication, each statement is separately checked against the text of the original source, also with AI but independently of the writing: do the numbers, time frames, ages and wording match?
- We read clinical guidelines in full text from the Russian Ministry of Health’s guidelines database, not in retellings.
- Doctors’ quotes are checked word for word against the page where they were published. We give the name, the job title as the publication stated it, the date and a link.
- Every page shows the date it was checked and the date of the next review.
What we don’t do
- We don’t diagnose or prescribe treatment.
- We don’t publish dosing schedules or doses of medicines. If a source mentions a drug, we retell it with a note that the decision is up to a doctor.
- We don’t recommend specific clinics, laboratories or brands.
- We don’t run affiliate links or paid content. Google AdSense ads are selected by Google, not by the editors, and advertisers have no influence on the content.
- We don’t name fictitious authors or pretend to be doctors.
How we update content
Pages are reviewed once a year, and also right after a new edition of the clinical guidelines comes out. We record all notable changes and corrections in the changelog.
Links
Links to external websites open in a new tab. We include them so you can check a fact, not to recommend the website.
Found an error
Write to info@adenovirus.ru and tell us the page. We will check the statement against the original source, correct the text and note the correction in the changelog.
